Vibe Machine: support

Vibe Machine is a cockpit for Claude Code on your iPhone. It needs a Mac running the Vibe Machine daemon and Claude Code signed in with your own account. Vibe Machine is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.

Getting started

  1. On your Mac: install Node 24+, install Claude Code and sign in, then install the daemon and run setup:
    npm install -g vibemachine-daemonvibemachine setup
  2. On your iPhone: open Vibe Machine and scan the QR code vibemachine setup shows.

The install page has the details.

Common problems

  • “Can't reach your Mac.” Is the Mac awake and on the same Wi-Fi, or on Tailscale? Run vibemachine doctor on the Mac; each failing check says what to do.
  • “Pairing code is wrong or expired.” Codes last ten minutes. Run vibemachine pair for a new one.
  • No notifications. Check Settings → Notifications → Vibe Machine on the phone, and the “Pushes” line of vibemachine doctor.
  • “Daemon too old” / “app too old.” Update whichever one the message names: the app from the App Store, the daemon with vibemachine update.
  • Claude Code isn't signed in. Run claude once in a terminal on the Mac and sign in.
  • No screenshots in the preview pane. Previews need Xcode and a .vibemachine.json in the project (see the example); web previews need only the URL.
  • Stats count sessions I didn't start in the app. They do: the usage ledger reads every Claude Code session's transcripts on your Mac, from the terminal and the desktop app as well as this app. The figures stay on your Mac and your phone.
