Privacy policy
Vibe Machine: privacy policy
Vibe Machine is an iPhone app that connects to a program (the “daemon”) running on your own Mac, which runs Claude Code under your own account.
What we collect: nothing. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The developer has no server that receives your sessions, code, prompts or files.
Where your data goes
- Between your iPhone and your Mac. Everything the app shows (sessions, prompts, Claude's replies, tool output, screenshots, usage figures) comes from the daemon on your Mac, over your own network or your Tailscale network, encrypted. It is stored on your Mac by the daemon and cached on your phone; neither copy is sent to the developer.
- Usage statistics. The daemon's usage statistics read the transcripts of every Claude Code session on your Mac (from the terminal, the desktop app and this app), and those figures stay on your Mac and your phone.
- Claude Code and Anthropic. The daemon runs the Claude Code program you installed, signed in with your own Anthropic account. What Claude Code sends to Anthropic is governed by your agreement with Anthropic, not by this app.
- Notifications. To notify you while the app is closed, your Mac sends a notification through Apple's Push Notification service. If your Mac has no Apple push key of its own (the usual case), it sends the notification through a relay run by the developer, which adds the signature Apple requires and forwards it immediately. The relay receives your phone's push token and the notification's text (for example a session's title or the command waiting for your approval) and keeps neither; it writes no logs of them.
- Crash and performance reports. iOS diagnostics (MetricKit) are sent to your own Mac's daemon, not to the developer. If you install through TestFlight, Apple shares crash reports and the feedback you choose to send with the developer under Apple's TestFlight terms.
This website's notify list
The app collects nothing, but this website has one form: leave your name and email to hear when Vibe Machine is on the App Store. That is the only thing the website keeps, and it keeps only what you typed, with the time you sent it: not your IP address, your browser or anything else about you. The list is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site, and is used for one email when the app launches, then deleted. It is never shared, sold or used for anything else. To be taken off it sooner, write to support@getvibemachine.com. The site has no cookies, analytics or trackers.
Permissions the app asks for
Notifications (to tell you when Claude is waiting or a turn has finished), the camera (only to scan the pairing QR code), the local network (to find and reach your Mac on your Wi-Fi), and photos or files only when you choose to attach one to a prompt.
Children
The app is not directed at children.
